We are looking for expressions of interest from Blackburn Cycling Club Members (Masters and Elite age categories) who are interested in representing our club in the 2020 National Club Team Championships (9-11 Jan 2020). There is a Team Gran Fondo Championship, Club Team Time Trial, and Club Team Criterium in Ballarat.
Gran Fondo Championships – Saturday 11 Jan 2020
“Take on the iconic Mt. Buninyong climb on completely closed roads. It’s the same course that will decide the Male and Female Australian National Road Race Champions for 2020 and we are giving you the chance to get out on the course and race it for yourself. Distance: 5 laps (58km) or 2.5 hours on course.”
3 riders per team – your time will be a culmination of all 3 individual rider times for the Gran Fondo.
Minimum age: 18 years or older (as of 1 January 2020)
There will be winners for both men and women and in the following combined age groups. 60+ 90+ 120+ 150+ 180+ Age groups: by total age of the youngest three members according to the 2020 year.

“Cycling Australia’s clubs will have their chance to battle for the coveted green & gold national champion’s jersey at the 2020 Club Team Time Trial and Criterium National Championships in Ballarat and Buninyong.
The Club Team Championships will be held as part of the 2020 Federation University RoadNats and will offer riders the opportunity to race on the famous courses just hours before the professionals.”
