BLACKBURN CYCLING CLUB PRESENTS: WINTER CRITERIUM RACING AT CASEY FIELDS
Winter Criterium Racing at Casey Fields, will be held every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month throughout the winter season at Casey Fields Criterium Circuit. Casey Fields is a fully closed cycling facility which gives us the opportunity to run Criterium racing for all levels in a safe environment.
Riders from all Clubs welcome. Food and drinks will be available on the day for riders and spectators.

RACE ENTRY

$10 entry (J19 and under)
$20 entry (Seniors and Masters)
Riders will need to register on the day. Please be at Registration 30 minutes prior to your event.
Please bring your current Cycling Australia licence. Race numbers will be provided at Registration
All State Government and Cycling Victoria guidelines will be adhered to.

RACE DETAILS
A rough guide of grades for Juniors will be as follows for the 1st two Junior only events :
Novice – Beginners and very young
E Grade – U11 and younger
D Grade – U11 and U13
C Grade – U13 and U15
B Grade – U15 and U17
A Grade – Elite U17 and U19

Please see attached table of registration and start times for each group.

All riders will need a current Cycling Australia Race Licence for Grades A, B, C, D and E, and either a Race or Ride licence for the Novice grade event, which will be a race simulation for newer riders.
Novice and E Grade will race on the small loop. A, B, C and D Grades will use the entire course.

GRADING
Riders are expected to self-grade via their Entry Boss registration, however final Grading will be at the discretion of the commissaire. Riders grades can change throughout the series based on results.
CA Tech Regulations re roll-out/age-appropriate gearing restrictions are adhered to for all Junior riders.

WARM UP
Track will be open for warm up from 12noon till 12.20pm, prior to Novice and D grades commencing.
The big loop will be open for warm up while the Novice and E grade riders are riding on the small loop. Once the large loop is in use, warm up will have to be external of the Criterium circuit.

PRESENTATIONS
Presentations for Novice grade will be at approximately 1:00 PM following their races
Presentations for E grade will be at approximately 1:10 PM following their races
Presentations for D grade will be at approximately 1:40 PM following their races
Presentations for C grade will be at approximately 2:00 PM following their races
Presentations for B grade will be at approximately 2:55 PM following their races
Presentations for A grade will be at approximately 3:10 PM following their races
