CRIT RACING THIS SATURDAY!

BBN CC is hosting criterium racing at METEC in Bayswater this Saturday, May 14th.

Juniors and Seniors.

Grading
We will be running grades A through E. E is for novices and non-racing (ride) license holders. Grades may be merged depending on rider numbers:
Novice and D grade will initially be taken through skills training and then a race simulation exercise.

Start times for Sat Morning Crits
A, B and C grades will run concurrently starting soon after 9am. Novice and D grade riders will do one hour of skills training and then do a race simulation at 10am once the track is clear of other grades.

Registration:
A grade 8:30 rego, 9:00 start. 60 mins + 1 lap
B grade 8:30 rego, 9:05 start. 50 mins + 1 lap
C grade 8:30 rego, 9:10 start. 40 mins + 1 lap
D grade 9:00 rego, 10:10 start. 25 mins + 1 lap
Novice/E grade 9:00 rego, 10:10 start. 15 mins + 1 lap.

Novice Session
The novice session includes one hour of skills training on the “car control area” (skid pan) at METEC. Once racing has finished the novice group will proceed to the start line (back straight, north side of track) for their “race simulation”.

Entry Fees
Entry fees maintain our philosophy of keeping entry low and charging all clubs the same fee (to try to build greater entry numbers), but try to promote pre-entry via trybooking.
Grades A, B & C: $10
Grades D, E: $5

Welcome to the Blackburn Cycling Club Junior Development Series, novice/skills riding/training/racing session at Siemens Factory 885 Mountain Hwy Bayswater. The skills training & racing session is provided primarily for riders new to road racing and is available during the winter road racing season
Registration at 1.45pm on this Saturdays riding starts at 2pm. All riders to meet in the car park. Please park on the far side of the car park.

FURTHER INFORMATION including appropriate Cycling Australia license information can be found on the club website at www.bbn.org.au under “Come & Try” & “Membership”. Session Cost is $5/rider each Saturday and payment is made via purchase of a Training Card http://www.bbn.org.au/multisession_trainingcard.html. Actual training card will be issued on production of receipt.

Entry & exit to the Siemens site will occur together each Saturday.

A Weekly Achievement PRIZE (thank you Cyclelink Bayswater) is awarded to a rider. Each Blackburn member can accumulate Aggregate Series Points & be in contention to win Series Aggregate Trophy for Junior Boy & Girl, along with the Most Improved Time Trial Time.
