(Cancelled due to no registrations for event) Sunday Junior Development Road Program will start from the Crayola car park off Lakeview Drive, Carribean Business Park, Scoresby approximately 100 Sth Wst of Caribbean Drive intersection. This circuit is a fantastic facility in the Eastern Suburbs and gives us the opportunity to have different levels of training and skills of all age groups.

Riders will be split into several groups with different skill ability/speed levels. Tickets are now available to purchase. If no registrations are received by 7am on day of event, event will be cancelled.

These sessions will focus on things like bunch riding skills and working together for the less experienced riders and preparation for the Junior Tours for those at or approaching that level.

Remember all of the junior tours have hills, and there are plenty of options around the Carribean Business park. Everyone will be able to get something out of these sessions.

Please Pre-Register on TeamApp to allow us to organise the resources required. Highly recommended that Riders bikes be equipped with a speed/cadence device, i.e. Garmin, Wahoo, Lezyne, Pola etc.

Cadence exercise will be undertaken. All riders must ensure their bike is equipped with a rear tail RED light that operates.

Parents are encouraged to bring their bikes so they can participate and marshal the various groups. It is winter, Riders must ensure they are approximately dressed for conditions, this includes bringing wet weather gear, leg and arm warmers and/or a jacket. In addition, bring a change of clothes to wear home if necessary.

Let’s Race Blackburn Program for new riders is a program for juniors generally aged 7 to 14 who want to learn about road cycling in a fun and relaxed environment at your local cycling club under the guidance and support of nationally qualified coaches.

What is the difference between the Let’s Race Program & a general Come & Try Day? They are a very similar program but the Let’s Race Program is a National Program delivered on behalf of Cycling Australia & Cycling Victoria, over six weeks by accredited/qualified coaches. The cost of the six program is generally $110.00ea, but the club is subsidising the cost to $99.00ea for 2019 and this cost also includes the riders 2019 Cycling Australia and Blackburn Cycling Club 12 month Race Licence Membership.
